Adventure Begins Here
Join me as I traverse the CONTINENT on my Moto Guzzi V85TT.
The plan as it has evolved is to take 4 weeks to ride to Tok Alaska, then over the “Top of the World highway” into Dawson City, Yukon Territory and return crossing the Canadian Rocky Mountains through Jasper then riding the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada range back to San Diego.
I will take 4 days to ride to Pendleton OR to visit family. From Pendleton I will ride to Bellingham WA to catch the Alaska Marine Highway ferry to Haines Alaska on July 25th. The ferry ride takes about 3.5 days on the water. Frome Haines AK it will be a couple of days to Tok. In Tok I will assess the weather and road conditions. If it’s too wet / muddy, or there are wildfires along the route I will backtrack south through the Yukon. I have divided the route into segments of no more than 350 miles. I am not going for speed records, just a relaxing Zen kind of ride.
